![]() UPDATE- I'll be performing the role of Gertie for closing weekend! Hope to see you there! I will be swinging in Oklahoma at New Candlelight Theatre through July 25th. It’s a great show- check it out! Based on Green Grow the Lilacs, a stage play by Lynn Riggs, Oklahoma! brought together for the first time composer Richard Rodgers and lyricist/librettist Oscar Hammerstein II. The duo would go on to write nine Broadway musicals together, but none would be as important for the development of American musical theatre as Oklahoma! A milestone in its fusion of story, song and dance, the production even featured a dream ballet (choreographed by Agnes de Mille) which revealed the main characters hidden fears and desires. Buy tickets here or call for tickets 302-475-2313. No performances July 3-July 5. ![]() I am currently Little Edie’s understudy in Philadelphia Theatre Company’s production of Grey Gardens. It is a great show! Check it out. I will post an announcement if I know I am going on. Grey Gardens TONY AWARD-WINNING MUSICAL Book by Doug Wright Music by Scott Frankel Lyrics by Michael Korie Directed by Lisa Peterson May 22 - June 28, 2009 Named Time magazine's #1 show in 2006, Grey Gardens blends humor, heartache, and humanity as it follows the deliciously eccentric lives of the reclusive Little Edie Beale and her mother Edith Bouvier Beale – the aunt and cousin of Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy. Set at the Grey Gardens mansion in tony East Hampton, the two Edies slip from their status as wealthy socialites to penniless hermits in their dilapidated home. A truly unique and astonishing musical! "An experience no passionate theater-goer should miss." –The New York Times |
